The story
Engineer by training, designer at heart.
I graduated cum laude with a degree in mathematics, then spent two decades in enterprise technology, first as a Systems Engineer at IBM and then as a Solutions Architect at Nutanix, keeping critical systems running for organizations that couldn't afford downtime.
The other side of the brain always pulled at me, too. I've loved art and design for as long as I can remember, and I kept looking for a way to put the analytical and the creative to work together.
In 2020 I earned a full-stack development certification through the University of Utah, and in 2021 I founded Sessions Web Solutions to do exactly that: design websites people enjoy using, and engineer them to be fast, secure, and dependable.
Today I lean on AI-assisted design and workflows to build smarter and faster, and to keep my clients' sites current as the web keeps changing. When you work with me, you talk to the person doing the work: the same person who designs your site, builds it, and looks after it long after launch.
I'm based in Utah and work with clients here and anywhere. Yes, I'm a dog person through and through. There's a reason a dog found its way into the logo.
Why "Sessions"?
A name that stuck.
A good friend in high school started calling me "Scotty Sessions" after a shirt I always wore with the Sessions logo across the front. The nickname followed me for years, so when it came time to name the business, it was the obvious choice.
